We have been going to these lakes for many years. Quadding in with a boat along winding trails is a great time. Remember the speed limit is 20 km/hr and believe it that there are trail cams along the way monitoring the trails. This lake is a one pike, one walleye limit with size requirements that are enforced with zero... More

Beautiful parks with well designed trail system. Many trails allow motorized vehicles and many trails do not. Most lakes only allow trolling motors. This park is huge and remote. Amazing amount of wildlife. Very few people in most areas. The lakes are crystal clear, not like Lac la Biche. There are a few beaches that are nice but they are... More

My first camping trip in Canada and we lucked out. Touchwood Lake Campground is so Peaceful and Quiet!! The water was clean and calm; almost like glass when we were there. The camp lots are huge compared to others we've scouted before we finally decided to try camping. The outhouses are clean - staff cleans them every morning and there... More

Lakeland Provincial Park is on an island in the lake beside Lac La Biche is surprising. Who knew pelicans could be seen this far north? You might expect to see loons and moose in Northern Alberta, but who would expect to see pelicans? The park extends over a series of lakes with lots of islands but the main part of... More

The water is flat, the scenery mellow, we saw beaver pelican moose and loons. The Blackett to McGuffin portage can be tough, there is carts, the space between the cart wheels didn't quite line up on the boardwalk, so sometimes the skinny wheels would fall through between the cracks, oh a bicycle pump comes in handy too. We had young... More

This is a huge park near Lac La Biche, Alberta. It has a whole bunch of large and small lakes, many of which are great for fishing, and all fun for canoeing - you can go for a day, or do a circuit and take your time. Trails are excellent for hiking & biking, and groomed in the winter for... More
