About
UPDATES FOR 2021 Due to the current circumstances and uncertainty with Covid-19 in Alberta, unfortunately we have been unable to begin preparations for opening the Aqua Splash for July 01st as planned. After further consideration of many factors, and the unknown timelines on easing of public health restrictions, as well as the close contact nature of our business, we have had to make the difficult decision to remain closed again this season. We know this will come as a disappointment to our patrons, community and staff team and we would like to thank you for your continued support of our decision in doing our part to keep communities safe. We all look forward to brighter days ahead and welcoming everyone back in 2022 for some long- awaited fun!!

Not for young kiddos
Jul. 2019 • Family
There were a couple of problems with my sons and grandson's visit - first of all, the weather has been quite cool in Alberta and the lake is very cold for July. My young grandsons - age 7 and 6 - were freezing/shivering within 10 mintues of the experience. In addition, this activity is definitely not for young children - both of my sons suggested children should be at least 10 years old to enjoy this event. You are also going to want to go when the day is very hot.

If you or your kids want a good fun workout this is the attraction to take in. Of course you will have to wait till the summer months but don't forget to give this one a try. Park to the west of Chateau suites where the old water slides were. Not as big an attraction as the water slides but very good clean fun.

Family with teens and we all had a Blast!!!
Aug. 2018 • Family
We booked for an hour around noon. We are a family of 5 and paid $65 for an hour. The full hour was really worth it. Life vests are provided. A big clock by the life guard station is visible so you can keep track of time. They put the start time on your wrists bands and they are generous with their time which is great considering not everyone there can swim fast. My teens 10, 12 and 17 all had so so so much fun. We’re hoping to go back again before summer ends.

Good morning rkimd; we do so appreciate your positive feedback! We do suggest an hour to start as you are now aware it is quite physically demanding! Hence our motto "Are You Up For The Challenge!" We look forward to seeing you again this season!

So fun for all ages

I took my 11 year old son. We are both very active and good swimmers. On your first time one hour is plenty, but the end of that hour my son was tuckered out and I was having hard time standing up... and the next day I felt muscles I forgot I had :)
We had a great time and heading there again this weekend. Sylvan Lake is pretty chilly, so you want to be there on a HOT day.

Fantastic Fun (even for the big kids!)

On a hot summers day when you see so many adults playing like children with huge smiles on their faces you just know its going to be fun and it did not disappoint!

As soon as the kids got onboard they just loved it. Trapezes, monkey bars, slides, climbing walls, Cliff Jumps and banked running walls. It was like Ninja meets Wipeout.

The life guards were diligent and the staff were friendly.

The hardest parts were getting them off when our time was up and trying to keep up with the kids!

It does get busy on the hot days but everybody was respectful to other users.

For adults you definitely need to have a basic fitness level and make sure you pack lunch for after, we were soooo hungry!

You need to visit this attraction.

Very challenging

The cost was less than what we anticipated... life jackets are a must. Your time starts when you put your life jacket on.

Go there on a very very hot day! If not, the water is cold!!!!! You have to be a strong swimmer to swim towards the bouncy castle... they have floating pads on the way to the castle or you can swim on your own, it’s your choice.

Once you’re there, if you fall in the water, it is very hard to get back on!!!

This is best for teens/ early 20s or people who are in very very good shape! It could be loads of fun!

Unfortunately, my young daughter was crying not 20 minutes because the water was freezing and she could not get back up... it did not help that the weather turned bad...

You do have to sign a waiver.

When you’re done and you have consumed the hour, you have to swim back on your own. Unless it’s an emergency, one of the attendants would get you with a long/surf board.

Like I said, I recommend this to young agile people, wear grippy swim shoes if you can and go on a scorching hot day!

It was good to experience, I’m not sure if we’ll do it again though.

Perfect for a group of friends

Going on the aqua splash on a hot day with a bunch of your buddies is the absolute best. We are all 19-20 and had the time of our lives. Filled with laughter, fun and some parts— cold moments. The water is refreshing. The components of the aqua splash are absolutely wonderful and above all; the staff was absolutely marvellous and very helpful to us. The staff made are visit that more enjoyable. We would all go back to the AquaSplash again!

Very slippery, wear water shoes if you have
Jul. 2018 • Family
We were there on Canada day and paid for an hour. We found the hour to be long enough for us and our teenage son. Although we really enjoyed ourselves and our son loved it especially, we all found it very slippery and hard to get back on once you fell in the water. Dad fell and dislocated his shoulder (which he had a previous injury of) and I fell and pulled something in my upper back. I guess this is why we signed a waiver form, lol, and although we are in good shape physically, just beware that this structure is very slippery. If you have any kind of water shoes with grip, this is your time to wear them. Lots of challenges here so you can’t get bored. We are glad that sylvan lake has brought this to town, and we would go back for sure ( only with our water shoes next time).

One other thing..., they had two lifeguards out there, but I think it should be recommended that they have three lifeguards with all the smaller kids that were out there unsupervised. Better safer than sorry.
