It was thanksgiving holiday, we got the last slot before it closes as it was fully booked, and it was very cold. But we enjoyed it. Couldn't stay there for long due to the wind.

Great place for nature hike. Lots of trails. Natural formation of rocks is amazing. A bit of rough terrain for older folks. Also can be slippery if it's wet or raining.

We visited yesterday while passing through the area. As i had expected there is not a whole lot to see, but we found it to be interesting and unlike anything we have seen east of the Mississippi. Price was reasonable, it is less than a ten minute walk from the parking area, and port a johns are provided. If possible walk along the road from the handicap access to enjoy the view from the bottom of the hill, it adds depth and perspective that cannot be grasped from the deck at the top. I only saw that view from the car and wished that i had walked down.

I didn't see this place interesting and worth to drive almost one hour . Don't recommend it at all specifically if it is far from you.

Our visit to the Badlands was what we expected as many of the reviews on here.
We paid the $10 reservation fee and had no issues. The trails were well marked and fairly easy.
The badlands are interesting to see. Sucks you can't walk on them anymore but understandable.
The fall colours were beautiful!!

Very bad experience during the thanksgiving holiday. We got ticket not even parking in side a farm drive, just stopping at the side road for a photo, only one person off the car and all others still on the car. This place is so stingy and not friendly to outsiders. Never visit again.

Many years ago, the badlands are open. Now, no step on that special lands n entry by reservation only, disappointed.!
We went there yesterday with 4 fall colors around the side of the roads which was beautiful. The car park costed $20/car for half an hour which is worth only if you are going next to Terra Cotta Conservation Aera which is included.

Was anticipating a more expansive representation of the "badlands". It was a nice walk to and from them and glad that we did not have friends who live 1 1/2 hours away join us. It would have been disappointing after the trip.
Lovely staff and would recommend as part of a day's outing.

Nice to see if you are touring this area. It’s only a short walk from the parking to the viewing deck. Dogs are allowed! It’s not a big feature so you are likely to spend around 45 minutes here. You still need to book a spot in advance.

A nice stop in Caledon. Can walk roadside or trail. We enjoyed the walk and the sites. Nice view. Takes about 30 minutes to enjoy.

What is the best way to drive here? I have 2 little kids so the less walking route is ideal. Thanks!

Cheltenham Badlands is a small example of badlands formation in Caledon, Ontario. The site is located on the south east side of Olde Base Line Road, between Creditview and Chinguacousy Roads, west of Highway 10 in Caledon, and features exposed and eroded Queenston Shale. The formation is located along the Niagara Escarpment.
I am not sure were you are, but take the 410 north from the 401, it eventually merge into hwy 10, fallow 10, until you rich the stop light at the Old base Line Road, turn west, and you will see the Parking Lot on the south side, from there is a short walk to the terrace to view the area. Do not take the walk trough the forest, especially if you have kids.

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if this place will be open this upcoming weekend or specifically Easter Sunday. We’ll be in the area and would love to stop by.
