While in Smolensk we stopped here and went up to the top of this wall. It was a bit dangerous going up the steps but once at the top the view was great if the city.

We really enjoyed walking around the fortress and even found great places to take pictures of our four teen children. Amazing back drop and architecture.

Fortesses of smolensk are great...as they contain so much hiatory. A story of brave soilders who made this city a hero city. City is more than 100 year old.. beauty of its own.
