Great find!
May 2021
Cool little spot, great to see local independant breweries in the new area. Good prices, great location (go for a walk on the Crag nature reserve before/after) and tasty beer.

Great Little Find
Jun. 2021
Came across this while out walking in the area, didn't even know it existed and we have been coming to the area for years.

They produce about 5 or 6 different ales, although not all available on tap, but you have the option of getting them in bottles.
£3.00 a pint for their own ales is very good value, with takeaway bottles at £2.00

Small outdoor seating area, with table service.
Large choice of cakes, brownies, pork pies, coffee and wine too.

A great way to finish or start a walk, with a real ale or 2.

We will definitely be back

A hidden Gem

I took my Beer Group 12 of us, we all agreed what a brilliant place, the bar as such attached to the Wartian Crag is Quirky, full of memorabilia, but also great real ale from their fantastic range. A lovely friendly welcome from Ian and his Man Friday. Will deff go again

Great source of local Ale

No frills Local Brewery producing some of the best Ales in the area.
Shame that the bar part is open infrequently.
OSB is always my first choice in any bar where it is on sale.
The Brewery offers a varied selection of Ales and continues to extend the choice.
Well worth a visit when it is open or sample it's ware at one of the local pubs.

Beer battered fish
Nov. 2018 • Solo
Excellent place, their golden ale is the best for beer battered fish and chips, whenever I am in the area I pop in for supplies. Loved the music nights when I lived in warton too.

Recent experience

Called today around 3pm as advertised open til 5pm. Door sign said closed but the door was not locked. Some went in.

Not a particular warm welcome and told if we wanted a drink we could only purchase bottles as they where going out soon. Which is what we had come for.

We did purchase 9 bottles to sample which i am sure will be an excellent brew.

Just thought the hospitality could have been more welcoming!

Attended a party
Jun. 2018 • Friends
Location is just outside the village. Due to the location it was necessary to drive. Please note there is limited parking at the site so need to park on the roadside or in the village and walk up. The roads around the village are also very narrow so take care on your travels. The brewery itself is a very small building so not an ideal site for a large party. Luckily the weather held so we're able to use the outside space. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
