Multiple scenic routes
May 2021
Get on to the crag and follow one of three routes round. Get to the very top for a wonderful sprawling scenic view, over the bay, over Morecambe, and to Arnside. Really really nice.

Lovely walk

Great views on way up, lovely woodland walk on way back. Easy to follow paths, and two signposted routes.

Wildlife
Jun. 2020 • Couples
Came here In-between lockdowns and it was a great place to get away from it all.
Plenty of butterflies, birds and lizards to see along with some breathtaking views from the top.
There are two ways up, one is pretty vertical up the cliff face the other is more gently but still requires a good pair of boots.

Fabulous walk with incredible views
Dec. 2019 • Friends
This is a super walk taking you high up to view the vista and what a vista it is! Fields, sea, the coast it’s just fantastic. It’s very dog friendly, a few areas you may want to keep them on lead as there are a couple of cliff faces but overall mine loved it! It appears there are a number of different walks within the natural park so you could probably spend a good day there. Take your own food and drink if you do that as there’s nothing on the walks you’d have to go down into the village.

Steep road to get to Warton Crag has a carpark also bins in the carpark, it's not to bad the walk near the top it abit steeper. But views are lovely. Young children could go up but need to be careful in some places.

A preserved preserve

The Crag is home to falcons and numerous other animals and is a walker's/hiker's paradise. This massive rock face rises up behind the village of Warton like a massive bodyguard for the small town. My mother passed down tales of the crag that she had heard from her mother who was born in Warton

An area of woodland walks and limestone cliffs. Views of the Yorkshire Dales and Morecambe Bay from the top. We saw peregrines and butterflies.

A short walk with beautiful views.

This place could do with more signposts, and more information on the internet. We were not sure whether the path goes on or are we to turn back. We carried on and ended up in some eerie places.
