This is a garden with some gorgeous elements, for example the planting in front of the main house has sensational colours and much to enjoy, However overall there is a feeling that the garden is slightly rambling without the tightness of design that the best large gardens reveal. There is a lot of interesting planting and the historic Normandy buildings... More

There are some building to see at the start with a bakery set up and a forge too. They are interesting and have a lot of artefacts... More

We stumbled on this place back in 2011 and bits were still under construction. Now our third visit shows a lot more completion. What used to be a restored farmhouse and a large meadow is now a stunning garden landscape filled with very ancient old reconstructed french workshops, stables, cider presses, barns and a heck of a lot more. We visited on a weekday during August and easily enjoyed one of the most delightful afternoons of the holiday. It was €7 per adult entrance fee, which we thought was very good value compared to some of the other gardens we've visited in there area. The map / guide contained interesting details about the history and development of the gardens... More

These gardens are delightful. They are well planned with a suggested route around the site. Taking the route leads you around some attractive buildings as well as a variety of different sections which are planted thematically; a particular joy for us was the fragrant garden. There were plenty of places to sit and enjoy the garden throughout.

Not the easiest place to find, but well worth it once found. It is not one huge garden, but many (about 24) individually themed gardens each with its own special charm. There are plenty of opportunities to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and there is a very pleasant small restaurant at the end of your visit. Highly recommended.

This is another place my husband and I visited during our private guided tour of Pays D'Auge in the Normandy region. This is a private garden, with an admission price. It will take you an hour or so to go from place to place in the garden, if you follow the guide. The husband and wife that created and maintain... More

The gardens are located by Cambremer, France. If you are looking at the front of the church in the city center, follow the road that is to the right of the church the gardens will be on the left just pass the Calvados Pierre Huet drive way. After you park and begin to walkup to the garden entrance, you will... More

Les Jardins du Pays d'Auge is a really enjoyable and beautiful place to visit if you are in the area. We spend a wonderful afternoon wandering among all the beautiful plantings and outbuildings. We even had a great lunch at the restaurant at the garden. My wife had a terrific asparagus and cheese crepe, which I would highly recommend. Very... More

We had seen reference to the gardens in our guide book but they were not highlighted. Travelling there we did not see many signs and the entrance could easily be missed. Perseverance was, however, rewarded. This is an absolute gem! The garden is not huge but in the way it is laid out it is beautiful and absorbing with some... More
