Well worth a visit and restaurant opposite is actual perfectly good too! Bit airless when you get down inside and anyone with claustrophobia should probably avoid! Ultra violet lit stallactites impressive.

The journey begins on an uphill rid on an electric train. Once of the train steps or lift..... If you have any problem walking take the lift it's a long way up otherwise. Beautiful tour of the caves although everything was in French (not a...More

Very interesting tour, albeit the guide only spoke French not a problem for us. Be prepared for about a mile walk after getting off the electric train which is up and down stairs which can be slippery. Well worth a visit especially on an overcast...More

This was recommended by a friend and the idea of an electric train taking you into the caves appealed. Wow! Just an amazing visit, staff brilliant and very knowledgeable, nice leisurely paced visit and so different from Padirac. A must see.

A superb cave system that is very interesting and well worth a visit. You start with a ride on a little train and then it's by foot thereafter. Do remember that underground it is much cooler than up above (so have some warmer clothes than...More

An interesting cave complex with 11 'rooms' on a guided tour. The tour starts with a short train ride to the first room. Although there is an elevator which avoids the first steep flight of steps, there are lots and lots of steps, often uneven,...More

Nicely done, the tour guide was helpful where possible with language. The non-French paper guides were inconsistent, we had Spanish and English and they didn't agree with each other on what they said. However, even though I have seen a few caves in my time,...More

The cave was beautiful and I'd of given it a 5 if the tour guide would of at least acknowledged we were none French speaking. So ye we walked around looking at this beautiful cave but had no clue what we were looking at.

Well run, interesting and funny guide. Saw things I've never seen in other caves. Great for adults and children alike.

We visited the Grottes De La cave today on our way between Rocamadour (excellent place to visit) & Sarlat. Our caves brochure indicated the tour commenced at 1400 hours, but after the ticket office opened then the start of the tour on the electric train...More

no. there are lots of steps some are very steep. with the dampness in the cave places are slippy so for me even carrying a baby could be tricky. there are also places where you need to duck your head.
