A beautiful pink coloured idol of Lord Ganesha oversees this scenic place. Frequented by both locals and foreigners, this Temple is a must visit place. It is just around 100 kms away from Bangkok.
I was delighted to listen to chants and a devotional song (Aarati), both in Marathi Language, sung in praise of Lord Ganesha.

Visited Thailand's biggest Ganesh Temple, observed that majority of visitors were Thai citizens. Amazed to listen Ganesh Aarti's & Hindi songs.
This spot is having 3 big murties of God Ganesh, God Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh and Chinese God.
Atmosphere was very good and holy. Maintained cleanliness like anything.
A good spot to visit for all Indian in Thailand

I would reccomend this one-day trip - away from the crowded metropole that is Bangkok. Wat Saman Rattanaram is filled with amazing statues. The Indian music playing on the background is an excellent addition to the surrealistic atmosphere on the site.

There are more than 40,000 Buddhist temples in Thailand and many of them are sanctuaries of peace, quiet and meditation enclosed within grounds that are architecturally and religiously in sympathy with each other.
Not so at Wat Saman Rattanaram Temple in the Bang Khla district of Chachoengsao Province.
Whilst this is nominally a Buddhist temple, it is in fact a temple to the most crass vulgarisms and commercial exploitation I have seen anywhere. It resembles a DisneyWorld theme park gone horribly wrong.
It is full of several times larger than life statues of the most amazingly eclectic arrangement of gods, goddesses and mythical deities I have ever seen collected in one place.
Yes, there are plenty of statues of Buddha, including a row of oh-so-cute baby Buddhas holding out their begging bowls. Then there are larger than elephant-size statues of the Hindu elephant god Ganesh, and they are lollipop pink! For good measure, turn the next corner and you bump into the Chinese bodhisattva Kuan Im, and next to her is a multi-armed statue of the Hindu god Indra and further along you can meet Vishnu..
Then the mix is further complicated by life size fiberglass "superheroes" and comic book characters, and eight foot high pink and yellow "bunny rabbits".
I half expected to turn the next corner and come across a crucified Christ and a bleeding-heart Virgin Mary.
Into this MixMaster blend of deities and comic book nonsense, is overlaid a thriving market, with the traders spruiking their wares, competing with the Buddhist prayers being broadcast over the entire compound. There are fruit and vegetable stalls, clothing stalls, "street food" stalls, and the shop of a well-known Thai coffee shop franchise.
The only good thing I can say is that to the side of all this nonsense is a large concrete building under construction. I was told it was a hospital. So if all this vulgarity and commercialism is paying for the building of the hospital, then all is not wasted.
Footnote: Wat in Thai means temple" so to call this Wat Saman Rattanaram Temple is tautologous.

This is a beautiful temple as the Pink Gansha facing the river. To me is more of a park as there are many statues of Buddhist and Taoist. No entrance fees. Place for beautiful photo.

Bright, colorful and over the top: biggest pink Ganesha statue, huge pink lotus flower on the river, statues of all the Gods - but also cartoon/comic book characters. Completely over the top, but we enjoyed the visit. Lovely setting by the river.

A large statue of Pink Ganesha { 24 METERS} is lying here on a huge platform surrounded by many rats. There is amyth here that if you say your will in the ear of the rats here, they will send your request to Ganesh and will be fulfilled earliest. A Huge lotus made on Wood blocks is floating in the river and you can enjoy on walking over it. Many statues of Budhhist monks are looking like as they are alive. Everybody on Thailand tour must visit here.

Only in Thailand I suspect would one find a religious site which combines shrines to Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism(?) and of course, the greatest god of all, shopping.
This place is hugely popular with Thai touristsd, though even our two Thai daughters in law were unable to explain the what or why of this place, not least the 5 feet high "guardian rats". If you're in the area, drop by, but don't go out of your way unless you wish to see large numbers of ThaI tourists, many of whom I suspect will be as confused as you by this place, which feels in no way religious.

The pink elephant, Buddhist monks and different large idols make for an interesting place. Currently they are building a 3 headed deity statue out of brick and cement. It was really interesting to see how they were building it. While I was there a monk handed me food to feed the fish in the river. It was so cool seeing the fish come out of the water to eat the food. When I went there it was flooded, so I had to walk through the water. It has many places to eat there along with statues of Chinese statues. They also have monk figures there which are quite life like. My Thai friend recommend I visit this place. I'm currently living in Chachoengsao, if you come to visit Chachoengsao you should check this place out.
For my fellow Christian Brethren.
Chachoengsao, also has a few churches. They have the Baptist church, if you decide you want to go there they will provide English translation for you. They also have the Chachoengsao Christian Fellowship, no official English translation however when I visit someone translates the jest of what's being said. They have a Sabbath day keep service. It's called the SDA Community Center, they have services on the Sabbath on Saturday.

The place is touristy. Along the temple area, there is a big market with everything you could ever imagine. The temple itself is very organized. The sign is everywhere. The parking lot is at walkable distance and free.
You will see big statues of god and goddess from different beliefs of buddhism and hinduism adapted to local context. Donation boxes and places for offering are everywhere. A bit commercial in that sense, imo.
Religious topic apart, the temple is colourful, vibrant, photogenic and touristy. I would still recommend to visit, sample some local delicacies from the market, get stunning photos. It’s quite an all in one place.

Thanks for answering questions. I see statues of mice around the Lord Ganesha statue, and giant serpents nearby. Are the mice meant to be guarding Ganesha, or is that the job of the serpents? Thanks again!

What would be a convenient way to travel to the temple from bangkok?
Written September 24, 2018
What are the shortest and easiest ways to get there and how much do they costs?
Written October 10, 2017
You do not say where you are starting from, so it is a bit hard to answer your question. But if you are in Chachoengsao City and do not have a car, the best way would be by taxi. But I suggest you negotiate the fare before you start.
The temple does not cost anything, but there are many stalls selling souvenirs, food and drinks.

is there any entry fee to be paid for Wat Saman Rattanaram Temple
Written December 19, 2015
As in most Wats (temples) in Thailand, there is NO admission charge. You should have long pants and women should cover bare shoulders but even that has been greatly allowed these days. Some places, and I vaguely recall this one included, have things available to help meet these minimum respectful clothing standards, sometimes for a small donation.
