One of the best places in the Algarve to enjoy the beach. You have a never-ending sand beach from Vila Real de Santo António until Ria Formosa, Tavira.

We have been coming here for 10 years. The beach has almost white fine sand. We particularly like the sand dunes that lead down to the beach in Altura. You can walk for miles and you will find small beach cafes along the way. What...More

More than 10km beach, warm water, perfect to walk, ride bike, play golf, rest, sleep or fishing. Near golf courses, Cacela Velha Walls, Sapal Castro Marim, Ria Formosa, Castles, Salinas, Historical center of Vila Real de Santo Antônio and many small farmers.

This beach offers hours and hours of walking, great views, no people, lots of birds, and even more shells. Exactly what we wanted.

Specially in winter time, tranquility, quietness, lot of sun, less people, less prices. Better than stay at home!

Beautiful, busy beach. Great for water sports at reasonable prices. My 13 year old son was stung by a weaver fish at low tide and the life guards looked after him really well. Thank you.

OK this is now one of my favourite beaches along the eastern Algarve. I like that you don't have to walk far from the car park to the actual beach which is good for people with mobility problems. We usually stay in Cabanas de Tavira...More
