This is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular rail journeys in the world on a par in many ways with the Glacier Express in Switzerland. As is snakes its way up and down, and even in, the mountains it provides spectacular views of mountains, gorges...More

Is a small town mostly based on local industry and tourism. If you arrived by boat you are best off taking the train to the Romsdal Region. The train runs along the Rauma river ending up at the Bjorli station. The trains is comfortable but...More

Undoubtedly a beautiful railway, but we felt that the train journey was too quick and there were little or no opportunities to take photos! A great deal of the foliage and trees could be cut away from the trackside to improve the viewing possibilities.

We travelled on the train as part of a ships tour in March. The train was comfortable (and warm), commentary was good and there was plenty to see through the large windows. My only criticism is we travelled on the train from top to bottom...More

We booked this through our cruise ship and it was very enjoyable. It was a train ride to Bjorli station and a bus ride back. Having a guide talk about the area was helpful.

This was a fantastic tour with the Norwegian State Railway - Museum Train, restored and with a perfect day, but -22 degrees C at Bjorli station. I will be back !! A must for Norway views.

We had a wonderful train trip on the Rauma line. The train was very comfortable and clean. The waterfalls and landscape were so beautiful. Once we got to the town of Åndalsnes, we rented a car so that we could drive the famous Trollstigen road.

We did a there-and-back from Andalsnes to Dombas and while the views were indeed very beautiful, I'm not sure I would pay to do this train ride again. There is not much to do in Dombas while you kill time before heading back to Andalsnes,...More

Yesterday my wife and I took the Rauma Railway trip from Andalsnes to Dombas and back. It's 1h 20m each way. The first half of the trip from Andalsnes was very scenic, with great views of Trollveggen, Romsdalshorn, the river, waterfalls, etc. But the latter...More

It can be smart to by the ticket asap. Go to Nsb.no , if you are lucky you can get it super cheep (in Norway the ticket get more and more expensive the closer the traveling day you get and often they get sold out.
