About
Near Mont St Michel, the Gardens of La Ballue shimmer “like a jewel set in the French countryside by some celestial authority.” (V. Seguin, Résidences Décoration). These gardens, which have been classified as Historical Monuments of France, offer a...more

This place took some finding, but so glad we did. The gardens are divided into areas, each one hidden from the next. Most of the displays include some if not mostly Topiary and there are alot of peices of sculpture placed around the grounds. The...More

The gardens are in a bucolic setting, yet they are sophisticated, beautiful, and surprising. There is even a labyrinth.

Not great compared to public gardens in other towns. Great tranquil location but 20euro for a garden that takes 20 mins to go round is a bit steep. Lots of promise but better gardens in Brittany.

Absolutely beautiful gardens, with so much more to them than you could expect looking at the map. Just stroll along and you will find yourself in hidden tunnels, mazes, little "temples" and many more. Beautifully taken care of and there are lovely tea rooms, too.
