Good spot for a walk. We usually go to the far side as less traffic and rarely cross over for a full lap. Our dog usually takes a dip in the river and we have a lovely walk as he dries off.

There is plenty of free parking @ The Cultural Centre on Bobcaygeon St. just steps from the entrance to the boardwalk which is marked by a high derrick.

The boardwalk crosses a marsh and is badly in need of repairs. Squares of wood have been nailed down to cover rotting planks. I believe fund raising is in progress. By following the board walk, you come out at the river walk.

The River walk is picturesque and well maintained with a couple of bridges crossing the Gull River, colourful flowers and fall leaves- a photo op and a serene way to get a bit of exercise. There are some sculptures closer to downtown.

Beautiful walk along the river. Pedestrian bridge across so you can do the whole route. You can park just about anywhere. Dog friendly - Lots of people with dogs. Nice benches you can sit and watch the river or the people. Entire walk was only 2 km so not a place to go if you want a long walk. The walkway is completely paved so easy on the feet. Beautiful trees and old houses to look at as you stroll along.

Enjoyed a walk to town. Parked across from Canadian tire and walked into town and then back. Friendly people. Nice views and bridges.

Minden is on the Gull river and has built a very pleasant short circular walk on both sides of it.

Off the walk there are also a boardwalk and trails allowing to investigate nature, watch birds or sit and contemplate.
You might also want to stop at the church to visit their packed shop selling born again items (as read on their sign).

If you intend on going on the trails it would be better to wear proper shoes, other wise sandals are fine.
Parking is near the community centre that also holds the lovely library or anywhere as everything is close.

Lovely spot to walk our dog most of the year. Not ploughed or taken care of in the Winter months. This should be considered for the future as many people drive to Haliburton where the lake walk is maintained and thus end up shopping there too.

We stayed in Minden for one night and decided to do the River Walk before we headed back to Toronto the next day. It’s a lovely, level, 2 km stroll along the river. You can also take a detour along a boardwalk that will take you in another direction. We walked to the end, checked out some of the shops, and walked back along the other side of the river. It’s a great place to stretch your legs before or after a long drive. And the pretty pedestrian only bridges add to the scenic vibe.

The Minden river walk is an easy walk along a beautiful river. It's maybe a couple of km in length, taking about 30-45 minutes to complete. Very relaxing! You start on the Main Street right at the bridge in town, walk along one side of the river, cross a quaint little walking bridge, and return on the other side. The path is well-maintained. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
