Thought this will be a boring place. It was not too bad. In fact, it was a relaxing mid afternoon for us to have a visit the cheese part to learn something, have a taste of their cheese, then adjourn to have the Hokkaido ice-cream. The surrounding is a very pleasant place to sit around and enjoy the afternoon. There... More

This is not worth the trip, the funny black cheese is nice but otherwise there is nothing much to see.

The exhibition centre has not much to see. But the focus of the centre is the workshop to make your own cheese (soft), ice cream, butter and bread. We joined the cheese and ice cream classes and they are interesting. The procedures are not complicated and kids can manage. If you don't want to join the classes, it is not... More

We visited the Cheese Factory at Furano and found it very cheesy. I would wish that being considered as a Cheese Factory, Pizza Factory and Milk Factory there should be more talk about how these are made. It's really more like a gift shop selling pizza, cheese and ice cream.

It was much smaller than we expected. We didn't do any workshops but just to have a look around the supposedly factory however there was no place to see the cheeses being made. It was more of a shop selling their merchandises and offering cheese samples. Would not visit this again and would actually choose not to come as there's... More

The cheese factory is worth the visit if you sign up for the cheese making or ice cream making classes(fixed timings), otherwise, you will only need 15mins to tour the place and end up on the 2nd floor in a store that sells the various type of furano cheese. The black squid ink cheese is really good! There is also... More

Place is on our to have fun and buy cheese products. My wife had a chance to attend the butter and cheese workshop, instructions with sketches were written in few languages, one of them was English. It is fun to learn something new. Had a chance to buy cheese cake + snacks. Place is recommended if you wanna join the... More

We asked our hotel concierge to help us sign up just 3 days before. We went in with our aprons on, all ingredients and instructions provided for, with 4 kids next to us also on the same workstation. Instructure didnt speak any English, but with a little help from the friendly classmates and simple instructions in Japanese, soft cheese ready... More

Furano Cheese Craft Center was a gigantic flop! The place was packed with tour bus crowds during our late-afternoon visit on a Saturday in early August. Aside from a few static displays, there was little to see. The establishment's main purpose apparently is to sell cheese...which, while decent, is hardly unique or special. The same products are available at markets... More
