Kisimul Castle- almost last point of our recent trip to Hebrides. Not huge and still under restoration but well worth visiting. Only way to get in is by boat which is included in price. It takes few minutes only to get there. I guessing most...More

Well worth the visit. We came across on the boat trip just before they break for lunch and the time we had was sufficient. It is a great place to wander around and imagine what it would have been like to live there. Good shop...More

The boat ride is great fun - short but fun! The best part is that on the return, the driver takes you around the back of the castle so you can see it from all sides. To be honest there wasn't much to see at...More

Think it's my 8th visit to the castle, it keeps on getting better, money being well spent, great little gift shop and everyone is friendly ! See you 2018

Well worth the visit. Our trip was spur of the moment and we were really pleased we did it. 45 minutes is sufficient to see it all and return to the shore. Would recommend.

Sorry for delay, is it Kisimul Castle on Barra you are enquiring about?, if so, yes there is a small charge, I think about £4 per adult, it is very small but steeped in history and well worth a visit x
