We arrived on 11.50 in Aleria, but were not allowed in the museum before 13.00 h. because of the siesta. A lot of other visitors left, there were nearly no restaurants open at that time (because it was sunday). The mueum is interesting with a...More

We thought this was well worth the visit. It's really cheap, the museum is absolutely stuffed with Roman finds, but not all are from the immediate area. The excavated Roman town site is pretty extensive but lacks informative signing (in any language). Note that the...More

The museum and archeological site are interesting but at the end of the day it cannot compete with other Roman sites in Europe. The place as a lot of untapped potential though. It was free to visit in May 2018.

Unless you really like Roman pottery, the museum isn't much. Nice to support though. The ruins that are pretty much stones only sprawled about, I found not interesting....don't bother. Cheap however at 2 EU. The older town itself has only 2 cafes, Nothing else.

Just have a walk and stay in the top of the hill to imagine how it was during the aleria battle in the 200a.c. and then take a visit to the museum

Interesting to get to know some of the old history from Corsica- nice break from the beach! We got a brochure in english and could walk around on our own. It is not very big, so 1 hour is ok spending here altogether.

This is a little museum but has a rather impressive collection of unearthed roman objects. Expect to see vases, weaponry, jewels,... Entrance to the musée was 2 euro per person. We found it worthwhile to pay a visit and the nearby site is very nice...More
