Unique mountains because of their shape and geological structure. No much of infrastructure here so your best bet is your own wheels and mostly your legs for wonderful hikes. Several sights have been crucial during WWI and can still be visited.

This National Park has been left as it is, without infrastructures, except for a few simple lodgings and trattorie. Here you can find Nature as it is, there are no museums to describe it, because you can experience nature itself, by walking and hiking on these rough mountains, fishing in the mounting streams, meeting deers and chamois. If you want... More

Hidden away in the forests of the Parco Nazionale Dolomiti you will discover these beautiful turquoise blue, natural cascading plunge pools. These are remarkable creations of nature which are the epitome of exquisite. The only downside to these gems is that in the heat of a marvelous Italian summer when you need to cool off, you are not permitted to... More

These are the most beautiful mountains in the whole world - part of UNESCO. The views are amazing, and even if you stay here for a lifetime you cannot get borred.

the Dolomites are spectacular and the villages are enchanting - set around lakes or perched in narrow valleys

If you're staying in Veneto, do try to make it to the Dolomites national park. The views are stunning, as is the drive through the mountain roads. We visited on an august public holiday, so it was very busy. Nevertheless, it was extremely enjoyable. The river was freezing but so fresh on a hot day! Nice to go for a... More

The park is located in the South-eastern district of the Dolomitic Alps, form a complex mountain range, running from the Vette di Feltre to Mount Schiara, and overlooking one of the largest of alpine valleys (media valle del Piave). I consider it quite wild compared with the Natural area you can find around. The best? Great views, nice people and... More
