Though having a lower profile than Noto, Modica or Noto we fell in love with Scicili. It's not that touristy but is full of great restaurants and cafes and great baroque architecture.

We visited here to visit Montalbano's office and although we couldn't see his office we did get to see the commissioners office, in reality the towns mayors office. It cost 5 euros for the town hall tour, a vista to the church and a tour...More

Worth a visit in its own right, but particularly fans of Montalbano or the film Italo (about the stray dog). Architecture of the town is beautiful on a manageable scale.

Lots of locations seen on Montalbano. If you are as lucky as we were they were filming a new series inside the municipal hall and a few of the cast came out to see the fans, Mimi, Catarell & the Commisario himself! #LifeAmbition !

I ordered a very classical dish to be sure I am going to eat something decent. It was the worst I have ever eaten. Something so classical as spaghetti con sarde couldn't be more awful, not to mention quantity of ingredients.

Stunning little town, peaceful and kind of from an other world. We probably will have to come back one day.

Typically no. three of the Ragusa/Noto/Scicli gems; but for many, understandably, rated the best. A lovely crusty mid size town in southern Sicily equal to the other Val di Noto cities. Very well known to us Montalbano fans, and now being discovered by a larger...More

What a nice surprise! Scicli totally surpassed our expectations. When we stopped over in a town that was not even mentioned in our Italy Lonely Planet we thought we would be done in one hour or so...little we knew we would have wanted to spend...More
