A picturesque castle nestled in a forest. Full of history, it dates to the 12th century. It is a beautiful and easy walk just reaching it, a lovely path through the gates and into the courtyard, surrounded by balconies. Only about an hour from Prague,...More

This castle is easy to visit in a day trip from Prague, although is not as easy to get to as Karlstejn. To get to Krivoklat, you take a train to Beroun and then switch trains for Krivoklat. The journey takes about one and a...More

We visited Krivoklat Castle in August. It was easy to park for 50 CZK under the castle with easy walk to it. We have enjoyed tour around whole castle. The tour was interesting and guide was informative.

This castle has very interesting history. The restoration is ongoing and not necessarily grand, but the place is certainly worth visiting with a knowledgeable guide.......

Quite a distance from Prague. Disappointed as the castle guide only speak in Czech. Lovely view from the castle, otherwise unimpressive collection in the castle. Would not recommend going unless you like the scenery on route to castle.
