In a month in Provence this was the best winery visit experience. First because they have great wine, which we bought, and second because Walter did such a great job of sampling the wine for us. This winery is a little out of the way, but we'll worth a visit.

We had a short overnight stay in Vaison la Romaine (at Hostellerie Beffroi) and only had time to visit one winery so we took Rick Steves' suggestion and so glad we did. We arrived right as they opened at 9am and the very friendly and welcoming Scottish owner, Walter McKinley, poured us many of his delicious wines and gave us... More

This our first stop and the lady doing the tasting was bed rude to my husband when inquired about a tasting and her recommendations. The listing on the counter had about 10 reds listed so his question was not unfounded. She the implied that we better stick to the cheaper wines as we went up the list they went up... More

We are very sorry and surprised that you unliked the tasting and the wines. Our 5 reds have been appreciated by the published specialist wine guides and international press as well as our rosé and white. During a tasting, we use to offer to our guests to start with the entry-level wines to go to the premium ones. This is... More

This was the only winery we found in Provence that will ship wine back to the states! The owner was a great salesperson and the wines were wonderful!

My wife and I and another couple were brought here by JB, our wine tour guide, for a wine tasting on Tuesday August 2. We are fairly knowledgeable about wines and Chateauneuf-du-Papes and Cotes du Rhone are some of our favorites but we were not familiar with this chateau. It is located on a beautiful hillside and is in a... More

We were treated to a wonderful experience by Kate. Very knowledgable and gave us the history of the vineyard. She told us about the area and suggested places to visit and dine. Wines were very good and affordable .

My husband and I accidentally discovered this winery while exploring Seguret and were so glad we found it! We were greeted by Hugo who invited us in for a tasting. There was a couple who was already there that was related to Hugo so we felt like we got the "family tasting!" Hugo was warm, friendly, informative and funny. We... More

Having read all the excellent reviews I obviously arrived on an off day. I had read good reports of this domaine and on the recommendation of the owner of the Gite I'm staying in was looking forward to an interesting tasting. Sadly however it did not turn out that way. I arrived this afternoon with my wife at about 1445... More

Very sorry to hear that ! We like welcoming people at our winery. Most of our guests coming here are very delighted and we are upset that you had a bad experience. Just to let you know that the woman in the office works at the accounting department and she doesn't do tastings as two persons are in charge of... More

Domaine du Mourchon's hilltop setting is worth a visit just for the views. The wine tasting and expert guidance from an expat makes for a really good experience…we left with plenty of wines to keep and enjoy at some future date - as advised. The single Syrah was already delicious and will improve for a little more time. The family... More
