My husband and I and our two teenagers spent a day(in early August) hiking and a half day kayaking--the two trips were definitely the highlight of our vacation. We enjoyed the stunning scenery and also learning about local plants, animals and history. The kids especially enjoyed eating wild blueberries, seeing thousands of tiny jellyfish in the ocean, and eating (delicious)... More

We rented bikes and tents from this company in the northern part of Cape Breton. The bikes (Giant) were in very good condition and suitable for riding around Cape Breton. The tents were of good quality and easy to set up. The owners, passionate cyclists and kayakers themselves, were extremely friendly and helpful and provided us with a wealth of... More

Jen and mike were wonderful guides. We had an interesting hike with Jen and kayaking with mike. They provided not just guidance but wonderful stories and info about the area. I would highly recommend them to anyone. A very personal touch. The bed and breakfast they booked us into couldn't have been better. Thanks guys have a good winter. Sue

We had an excellent experience with Sea Spray Outdoor Adventures (also known as Eagle North Kayak) and would strongly recommend it to anybody looking for great hiking, kayaking, and biking in northern Cape Breton Island. The co-owners, Mike and Jen, know the place inside and out – their warmth and know-how really enhanced our vacation. We were first-time visitors when... More

We hoped that our 3 days in Cape Breton would be one of the highlights of our trip to Nova Scotia and it was! Due in most part to Jen and Michael and the wonderful hike and kayak tour we had with them. Our hike was down to money point on a day when the cloud didn't lift off the... More

My wife and I have wanted to visit Nova Scotia for more than two decades. I saw the Sea Spray website back in January while planning the trip and contacted Dennis Doyon. He was immensely helpful in suggesting travel plans and activities that fit our love of the outdoors, moderate physical activity, and seeing great scenery. We decided to spend... More

Last summer we hiked with Dennis to Money Point. This was a hike we had long been excited about, but one member of our party was extremely intimidated to go it alone. We are frequent visitors to Cape Breton and are completely in love with the island. Dennis showed us a piece of the island we could never have seen... More

My husband and I enjoy outdoor activity, but not extreme activity. We enjoy learning about the flora, fauna, and history of the area and catching sight of wildlife. We explained this to Dennis Doyon of Sea Spray Outdoor Adventures when inquiring about his kayaking trips. While talking with him on the phone from our home, I could tell he also... More

Kathy and Paul had some prior paddling experience, but we agreed to paddle a bay that offered them quiet waters if we had no wind, but only moderate difficulty if the wind arose. End result, no wind! So we enjoyed a wonderful tour through mussel farms, oyster beds, heron habitat, shorebird rookeries and viewed and photographed Bald Eagles. Both Kathy... More

My husband and I just returned from a fantastic week on Cape Breton. The stunning beauty of the place could be enough, but we wanted to really experience it so we set up kayaking, whale watching and hiking with Sea Spray. Dennis was excellent. We were novices at kayaking and he took the time to really school us on kayaking... More

Great touring with this couple! When we get visitors who are so flexible when the weather turns against them we often get to view scenery that's unavailable to those who choose to "sit out" a day of rain. So it was with Debbie and Joe, and I recall their rainy hike with pleasure. They'd had clear days for their kayak... More

My wife and I just got back from our holiday in Cape Breton Island and certainly one of the highlights was our day with Dennis from Sea Spray Adventures. We were looking for a great hike with some scenery and he delivered that and then some. We had an amazing hike to the most northen lighthouse on the island. The... More

Another tour with only one day to make it right, and it all came together for this really fit couple. We toured a challenging hiking route to one of our favorite destinations and were treated to good weather, great scenery and a thorough workout. This is the way a hike should evolve! More
