The mall is huge and you can get everything from the department stores to the brand name stores at Sambil. As a tourist the conversion was great and you can get value for your money. Due to the size of the mall you will be doing some walking so wear comfortable shoes or rent a scooter.

When you compare the malls to the flea market, I would personally opt for the mall instead of the flea market due to the quality difference.

This mall is very modern. Prepare for a full day of shopping as you can shop and relax in the many restaurants available. There is also a large fish pond in which the kids will go crazy over.
My suggestion.....All the money you are planning to spend on shopping- change it to their local currency BEFORE hitting the mall.
It was very frustrating shopping with US$ alone as A LOT of stores do not have US$ to give change back to you. And some stores don't accept US$ on the whole (eg. Mario Hernandez).

Sambil Mall has everything in shopping. Clothes were of the latest trends with excellent quality though a bit pricy but good value for money. Such a huge variety of foods to tickle your taste buds, we enjoyed it all. Large space and a clean and inviting ambience. Taxis at your leisure. Truly an international experience worth testing.

Its a nice mall but you have to be careful as a lot of stores sell fake products, such as clothes and make up products. If you don't know the brand or don't ask, they will not tell you its fake.
the food court is good but due to the actual crisis, most restaurants are operating with small numbers of products. It can be really difficult to buy a pizza, for example.

If you want to shopping here you can find all the brands you want and you can pay with local currency or with dollars, which makes it much cheaper. The mall has a huge food court but if you want to eat traditional local food you have to go somewhere else. There is also a cinema and it's very cheap, though you have to be prepared for dubbed sound. It costs 1900 bolívares and for children and seniors 950 bolívares.
If you up for a treat don't forget to visit Churro Mania. And be careful, it could be addictive.
