My 6 year old daughter really enjoyed the winding stairs and exploring the many layers to the castle. The views over the city were spectacular.

This is a great place to visit if you want to understand how important Lucena was throughout history. The cost of entry is 6 Euros for an adult. This castle was built by the Moors in the 9th century, possibly over an original Roman fort. In 1240 the Christian King Fernando II conquered the city and the castle.
