The customer service here is beyond terrible. I don’t know where to begin, I booked a party of 8 and my own group arrived on time 25 minutes early. No one greeted us or even said hello when we arrived and got out of the car and we were the only group there. There was a man smoking a cigarette leaning on his car and just told us to move our car. No “hello, welcome, nice to meet you”. We walked around and then waited in the car for the other people to arrive. At 1:55, this same man came over to our car and asked where the rest of our party was. We told him they were to arrive any minute, and he was clearly mad and said they should have been on time and that we were putting everything behind schedule . I said they will be here any minute and he said “we have lives too and we shouldn’t be delaying things.”The other party and the rest of our party arrived just before 2pm and Susan (the other host) got out of the car. My husband went to speak to her to tell her how we had spoken to us and to ask for the owners number. We then learned that person was her husband Danny and at this point Danny flew out of the car and started yelling at us, telling us to “get the “f*@k out of here” and more of the same language. There were children present and the whole scene was unbelievable. Susan was trying to salvage the situation and apologized. We had kids with us and decided to try to turn the experience around and still try to finish the activity as it took a while to get there and we had already paid. Susan gave us a quick overview of the process and we were in the water in 10 minutes. It’s not that complex, you put on a life jacket and carry your raft to the water, wait your turn and start floating. We booked a time slot of 2 hours we had plenty of time. I am still in shock about how Danny blew up. Susan also mentioned she was not supposed to be working as she had a 15 week old baby in the car. The rafts were in poor shape. One member of our group had the whole bottom ripped. Mine had 2 candy bar wrappers in it. The actually floating down the river experience was nice but we were pretty rattled by our experience. Danny should not be dealing with public with this kind of behaviour. I felt bad for Susan but worse for our group who had to witness the whole scene. If you are working with tourists who are paying good money, at the very least, show some respect and friendliness. To yell and swear in public in front of children is unacceptable.

So relaxing, had a great time floating, laughed a lot. Susan and Danny were so friendly. Will be looking into booking again next season, hopefully try some sea kayaking too.

We did a sea kayaking tour today with Sam as our guide. It was absolutely wonderful. She was professional and friendly and knowledgeable. We felt safe and comfortable and we had so much fun.

My guide was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. I was given the option to take a solo kayak which was amazing as a solo adventure. We worked our way along the coast line. My guide showing me all the little secret places that the kayak would fit. We made our eat to a crystal clear calm bay where we could see star fish on the bottom. There were eagles nesting above the rock headland and we could hear the hungry chicks. We were able to float there and watch the parent eagles come and go. Had a cup of tea and local treat on a lovely beach before paddling back. Excellent adventure! I would recommend it!

Had a wonderful time on the bay sea kayaking with Sam as our guide. She was very informative and fun and we felt so safe while enjoying the scenery! Highly recommend and we'll be back for sure!

Hiked the Spout with Barb who is the owner of Wind at your Back Adventures and it was amazing! Barb was very prepared and knowledgeable. She was patient with all ages who did the hike and was also very fun! Would definitely go with Barb again!

I had a great experience with the guided tour to the spout. Barb and the other guides were excellent. Everyone is very personably, easy to have a conversation with and very knowledgeable of the outdoors and emergency care (if needed). I would highly recommend.

Awesome experience hiking on Saturday January 30/21 Hiked from New Chelsea to Hants Harbour. A boil up and lunch from Nat and Jane's general store in Winterton...omg delicious....Cuppa tea and a history lesson along the way...the scenes were amazing. Barb the guide was full of knowledge, and prompt with safety. Laughs were shared, and Bella her hiking dog was a pure delight. Wind at your Back Guided Adventures....Wow I love it... It's a win win...exercise, fresh air and the beauty of nature all among friends... Thank you! Best thing I do for me😊

Jason is a fantastic kayak guide! Would recommend any age group or experience level to join him. Safety is key so expect calm waters and small groups.
