About
Nestled within Discovery Harbour on Georgian Bay, the King's Wharf Theatre is a pleasantly rustic, 385-seat venue that offers all the comforts of a modern facility. Flanked by the historic buildings of a 19th-century British naval and military base, the theatre is located at the end of a beautiful boardwalk that looks on to the homeport of replica ships H.M.S. Bee and H.M.S. Tecumseth. A visit to the King's Wharf Theatre takes only 45 minutes from Barrie and Orillia, or just over an hour from Collingwood. While in the area, explore the communities of Penetanguishene and Midland, which offer unique shops and dining establishments. You'll also want to discover such treasures as Ontario's first European Community at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons.

We saw Peter Pan Pantone. Excellent show! I highly suggest this show. The actors are all amazing; friendly staff. All in all it’s a great theatre with city performances.

I brought my grandchildren (ages 17 and 14) to see the Peter Pan Pantomime and was surprised actually how much they enjoyed and participated in the play. It was wonderfully done. The acting was exceptional, I was really impressed with the children’s acting abilities, so at ease on stage and very professional. Looking forward to the next pantomime.

We went to see Peter Pan. My friend and I are originally from UK and have been in Canada 20 years. Panto was swats a big part if my childhood during the Festive period in UK and this was my first visit to a panto in Canada.
This production was excellent. This was easily a well thought out show. Great costumes, sets I could have been in the West End! Fantastic performances especially from The Dame, Copperbottom and Captain Hook. The music/songs were modern and the singing was flawless. Audience participation was a must and everyone got into the spirit. Well done the production team, I will recommend this to friends and will definitely be back next year.

The show was excellent in all regards. The sets, the lights, the audio, the chorography, the script, the improv was beyond excellent. BUT, the cast was beyond words. There was not a single weak spot in the cast.
It has been a very long time since I have seen a show that was entertaining for adults as well as kids. The adult humour was well disguised and not offensive to anyone AND VERY FUNNY

The production of Joseph and the Technicolor Coat was high energy and full of drama, beautiful costumes and a great story told with wonderful songs throughout! Would highly recommend this show as it had it all, action, drama, humour and especially the singing! 5 Stars!

The show was amazing! Everything Drayton puts on is amazing! There are just few things people need to know if you are going with mobility impaired people. You cannot drop people off directly at front of the theatre. There is a gate about 150 yards in front of the theatre doors that cars cannot pass. They do have a golf cart that can pick up people in the parking lot and bring them directly to the front doors, but it is small and inconsistent. Also, the theatre seating itself is tiered with lots and lots of steps (no handrails) and there are no elevators. The bathrooms have stairs up to them, and there is only one unisex handicapped washroom on the main floor. The theatre staff do try their absolute best to accommodate those with mobility issues. I’m not complaining, just trying to make others aware, that if you are coming with a mobility impaired person, make sure you arrive very early to give yourself enough time to get seated and have a bathroom break at intermission.

Absolutely fantastic show. One of the best Drayton shows we have ever attended. Such an awesome group of muti-talented world class musicians. The four fiddlers were great, but the singing, dancing and acting skill of everyone on stage was "over the top". Music from all genres was delivered in a fun and exciting atmosphere.
Don't miss this show.
