Went two back to back days- first day was cold, took a quick stroll and took a few pictures. Second day got some clear pictures of the mountains and spent some time exploring the trails. Great kids area. Would be great to go back in the summer.

What a tremendous and enjoyable place for the family to enjoy: Bird watching, the childrens' play area, the vast space along the beach for barbequing or just having fun flying kites or playing games! How lucky we are to have Centennial Beach. Let's cherish it and protect it.

Love this beach. It's very natural yet is has a really good childrens playground and picnic tables and a nice little restaurant/take out place. When the tide is out you can walk forever. There are little pools of water where young children can splash around. The nature walks are lovely and you most likely will spot an eagle or two.... More

Beach is great to visit! Many trails to walk along, a vast expanse of dike to walk or bike along, great playground for children and a safe sandy beach. The tidal pools are fun to wade through. The washrooms are plentiful and very clean, as are the change rooms. Ample free parking! There are also picnic tables, a large grassy field,... More

Centennial Beach is an excellent place to spend an hour or two, or the whole day. Apart from the bustle of the city, it offers amenities attractive to families, as it has a playground as well as toilets. Children love playing by the water and around the driftwood. The area attracts many birds as it is on a migratory flyway,... More

One of our favorite places to go specially on a nice hot summer day. Water is shallow so you'll be disappointed if you are actually looking to swim. Lots of parking and a great little cafe and kids park.

Great sandy beach with shallow water stretching out for a long distance. Summer low tides allow you to walk a long way out on smooth sand, interrupted occasionally by tidal pools of shallow water that warm up to bathtub temperature in the summer sun. Great for everyone. There's also an exceptional playground and public facilities nearby. The food concession is... More

Great beach for walking and relaxing. When the tide is out, the beach goes for a long way out. Kids can run and play, swimming is good when the tide is in. dogs are only allowed on the beach from October to May. During the summer months, no dogs at all. There is a great playground for kids to play... More

great for families, couples or anyone. Best to time it at low tide when you can walk out a long way from the beach. Lots of tidal pools to see. Great if you have kids and you just want to let them run within sight without much of a worry. Lots of parking. Signage said no dogs but saw lots... More
