Great afternoon

We were extremely disappointed. The description said oil/vinegar sampling and ice cream or gelato at Olive Grove, only tasted olive oil and vinegar. Bakery only rec'd a bit sized puff pastry. At Lavender store rec'd 3 tiny samples of items made from lemon grass, that staff were sampling to all who walked in store. At coffee shop, description said coffee... More

Enjoyed a great afternoon on this tour. We had 13 on the tour and that was a good number. All the places we visited seemed genuinely happy to have us and present their food choices. We had some exceptional food and learned some interesting facts. A lot of local people on the tour which was really nice to see them... More

Not my first food tour but my first one where you went to 8 local establishments! Each one of them provided a excellent food and/or a drink. Carrying around a fork and spoon was a first too. I see pros and cons to this. One of the rare things we see today too: It is worth more than the price... More

I've done this tour 4 years in a row now - twice since I was fortunate enough to retire here. It's a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon from 2-4 but you must make reservations as groups are small and it goes rain, shine or snow! The host, David Medeiros, and the owner of The Village Olive Grove where... More

This is a fun and interesting way to sample about 4 restaurants, 1 olive oil shop, and 1 pastry shop. Inexpensive. Runs from about 1:30 to 4:00pm. The only dissapoitment is that the money that you pay to the Olive Oil Shop, stays with the Olive Oil Shop. It does not get disperesed to all the other establishments. Why??? Not... More

A rainy Saturday and we needed something to do! We enjoyed the tour overall some stops provided some interesting background and education on the food and drink we sampled which was terrific. Others just acknowledged us and quickly brought out the samples without any real background or commentary. In those cases we felt like we were trick or treating.

My sister and I, did the "Elora Culinary Walking Tour" today (Nov. 8/14), it was informative, delish, fun, overall great way to spend an afternoon. Tour is approx. 2 hrs, $20/p/person, and worth every penny. 1st learn about olive oils, and gelato, then off to The Cellar Pub & Grill, we had the most amazing egg salad, on toasted baguette slices,... I was in Elora in August and we signed up for the tour, it was a rainy day out but the tour made up for that. The tour visited 9 local shops/restaurants and was lead by a fantastic young host. This is worth way more than the 20 dollars it costs to sign up, you get a sample of some... More
