We opted for a fun night out with a dinner here, the buffet trackside was a nice selection ,a tad bit slow on refiling food trays though, but fair priced,we had great windows seats, did some horse betting, won a few bucks, then headed into the one arm bandit room downstairs to lose it ,lol, overall nice friendly staff, busy casino, but the food and horse racing were great,a fun night out, check it out, cheers

My wife and I stopped in here on our way home to Windsor after visiting Elora. At first, we didn't like the denominations of the slots we were looking at.....very few penny machines. Eventually we found the penny area and played our token $50. Found a machine that gave us 300 free spins, and by the time we left it, we won $500. Nice. Extremely rare occurrence.

Grand River Raceway is a fun place to visit but please don't look for it in Kitchener, it's in Elora Ontario.

My bf lost his phone/keys/ID in the Elora Gorge. We found ourselves with no money, no access to our car, no phone, and in our bathing suits. After we were unable to get help for a few hours at the conservation area, we decided to try our luck by walking up the road. We stumbled into the raceway looking a bit rough and the staff immediately went above and beyond to help us, letting us use 2 of their phones even though we were on hold and tying up their lines for quite some time. They gave us shirts and coffee and were warm, kind, and caring - they were exactly the right strangers for us to bump into in our time of need. Shout out to Brittany at the administrative office and another Brittany at the clubhouse/bar! :D

Had the great pleasure of speaking at a business function held here. What a beautiful facility and incredible view of the track!!
Can't praise the staff enough for their warm reception, to making sure all AV was set up and that we had everything we needed. Thank you Katie, Dani & Jenna for everything. Hopefully we will be back again soon!

We had the buffet, the food was terrible; trays were left empty and it was a race in itself to get a full plate at any given time. It was my birthday dinner and it was embarrassing to have invited friends to such a lunch bag let down.

Had a great time watching the horses even bet on a few but the food was absolutely dreadful and expensive better to eat before or after it’s a shame they don’t have a better venue as they have a great spot and it could be so much better

It was held at the Lighthouse Restaurant next door. Let me start with the food...excellent! The theme was an 80's telethon. The actors and audience were very interactive. They would come of the stage and work the crowd. We really enjoyed the show! Book in advance as it sells out! Next show is in September!

First time visit for the Friday night buffet at 9.99. Everyone is allowed in at 4.45 and rush for a table and immediately get a place in line for the buffet. That's the worst of it. A nice variety of salads and vegetables. Beef was excellent however the lobster tail is doled out one at a time and difficult to remove from the shell due to overcooking. If you are someone that enjoy lobster you have to continuously line up again . The beef and yorkshire and veggies are worth the trip.

This racetrack is only 20 minutes from my house, and is more quicker and easier to go pick up a program, instead of driving 45 minutes to Mohawk. Our family comes here every year to watch there big race day "Industry Day". Its always a fun time to watch some horse races in the backstretch, because it only happens one time a year. Its a pretty nice place to watch some horse races. They had $1 hot dogs and pop night over the summer. Hot dogs look so bad they were like the ones from the grocery store. They should move the wiener dog races on Industry day, because more people come out to watch some dogs run for less than 5 seconds than on Industry day alone. The Captains Quarters is pretty good place overlooking the racetrack. The Lighthouse restaurant is a great place to grab some food for a good price. Overall, this is a fun and tasty place for the whole family to come !!

Hi there: Dress comfortably, you see it all... however mostly nice casual dress, capris, dress jeans, and a sweater etc. in case you want to get up close and personal with the horses and stand by the track after dinner!!
