Like the other reviews this is a very nice quiet beach with beautiful sunsets. Have been there many times. Mostly ticos with a few guests from the hotels just north. Sometimes almost empty during the week. If you walk a couple of kilometers south there is an interesting estuary and mouth of the river flowing into the ocean. At low... More

Big wide flat beach, not very busy. Great sunsets. Good for a run or walk, moderate waves that made for fair body surfing when we were there late December 2016; would have been good for mid-size kids and up.

This beach is great for older kids and adults. Lots of waves and a pretty strong riptide that they warn you about. We had boogie boards and had a great ime. You can park along the beach in the shade too. Had great milk type snow cones that we bought from a local vendor too. Lots of Costa Rican families... More

This is a great beach to spend a day, quiet, lined with coconut trees, big surf and a beautiful estuary at one end of the beach that you can walk to, but watch out for crocodiles that come visiting sometimes we were told.

A locals beach. Great views. Beware of rip tides in area. Fabulous crabs provided hours of entertainment.

This beach is beautiful & well worth the visit. Has always been nearly empty the 4 times we have gone. Stay close by your car & keep belongings to a minimum. We will be back.

Quiet beach. Great for walking; lots of seashells to take home as souvenirs. Although it´s around other busy beaches, this one is not yet "invaded"; that may change soon as there is a lot of development around the area. Awesome sunset; best to keep away once it gets dark as there is no lighting.

I stopped by this little beach and found the beauty reserved for the locals when surfing! Just keep driving and you will come to an area where you can park right on the beach!

The beach is very nice and popular with the locals. It's not the best for swimming, so we just waded in the water. There's many shells in the sand too. We went with intensions of watching the sunset, but realized the sun sat over the trees, not the water. Oh well.

The beach is beautiful. It has soft black sand. I loved the palm trees too. If you are looking for a swim, this may not be the place for kids. The rip tide is strong. Perfect place for boogie boarding or surfing. Make sure you are super strong swimmers.

Thank Anthony D
