We loved the Jungle but didnt like our Guide. You should book a tour with someone you feel good with and who is willing to explain you a lot in the Jungle. Our guide didnt even know where the Orang Utans were nor did he explained us anything. We had to beg him for that.

There are more than 7.000 orang live in gunung leuser mountain and Bukit Lawang is a nice good place to Visit orang utan.please wear a good shoes,mosquito cream and mineral water.it is important to use local tour guide when you enter the jungle

Two days one nigh we did jungle trekking with Lukman Adi and his awesome crew, that is so exiting, I cannot recommend them highly enough. We met many orangutans, babies and all, feed score of monkeys our fruit peel from breakfast, saw monitor lizards, hornbill / toucan, peacock, owls it was great. My husband and i have spent a lot of time in Bukit lawang over the years and this year we took our three chIldren to experience the amazing jungle, wildlife and culture that bukit lawang has to offer. when it comes to trekking in the jungle we obviously needed a guide that could be relied upon to keep our children... I recently spent four months in Indonesia, travelling as a solo female, and I loved it!! especially North Sumatra and Kalimantan. I'm more of a jungle girl than a beach girl, and I definitely found paradise. Beautiful. I love animals, and have a special place in my heart for the orangutans, so I spent as much time as possible trekking and taking... More
