A last minute addition to our trip, it turned out to be the highlight. Deddy (+6285145045403) was our incredible guide. His knowledge of the whole region really left an impression on us. The forest was lovely and the birding great. Even though we covered nearly 40 kilometers over 2 days, I still had time to see 20 species of birds... More

We spend two days in Lore Lindu Nationalpark, especially in Bada Valley. The way from Tentena over bumpy and serpentine roads (parts of the way is dirt road) to Doda in Bada Valley led us through a jungle. In this jungle, black macaques and hornbills can be spotted. We stopped several times by the road and saw a lot of... More

If you've read about Megaliths, Maleo, Tarsius, Hornbill, Satanic Nightjar, Nepanthes i won't add more about those beautiful creatures. I would like to add a few things, on the Trans Sulawesi road you'll passed a Kampung Bali. I tell you, you have to ask your local guide to stop and enjoy it awhile. A taste of Bali in Sulawesi are... I really don't know where Lore Lindu actually begins or ends, but I do know we saw a D-cups worth of megaliths. We stayed in the village of Doda in the Besoa Valley. You can get here on your own from Palu if you go to the Petobo bus terminal and ask for the bemo. You may have to wait... More

The forest and views are stunning, also the wildlife, if you see it. This means going deep in the forest, with a local guide. In some valleys are archeological sights: statues of stone, and big stone jars, like the ones in east Laos'Plain of Jars. How old? Something between 500 and a 1000 years? Local economy is agriculture, on a... More

That's what we were there to do and there didn't seem to be much else to do, at least in the part of the park we were in. The forest is lovely and very thick and because it is in the highlands, the temperature is pleasantly cool.

Great place naturally. I used the welcome Penginapan Sendy in Wuasa. Cheap and friendly place. You can even watch the birds in their garden :). Excellent points of interest Danau Tambling and Anaso Road. During several hours of tour I saw about 50 different species of birds, including the endemic. The downside is the high price of admission to the... More

Spent several days in Lore Lindu and found most of the birds we wanted. Probably not very interesting if you're not a birdwatcher.

I have been many times. From visiting the Megalith in Bada Valley to Birding Trip in Wuasa. I enjoy every single day I have spent in this National Park. Its a pitty that some of the places I known is now destroyed like Kamarora, one of the best place for Bird Watching. I'm very much recommended this place for any... More

We did a 2-day trip, organized by the people from Victoria Hotel@Tentena. The first day we went through the Bada Valley (by car), the second day (after sleeping in the jungle) we hiked through the jungle and spotted a large group of macaque and 2 hornbills. Beautiful trip, that can be done with children (8+).
