Nothing to visit there but nice omiyage shop to bring back tasty stuff for friends, family of co-workers. You find their stuff all over Miyakojima but here the full range of available. The factory could not be visited and the manufacturing process explanation was limited as best. Maybe they do organize some visits but not when we went there. No... More

The lovely factory/museum helps you learn about the special salt made in Miyako Island. Yuki shio is the fine powder salt which look like icing sugar! The shop sells variety of products using their salt. My favourites are Yukishio fuwawa, meringue cookies with lots of different flavours and Yukishio chinsuko, a kind of shortbread biscuits.
