We were hesitant about taking a complimentary tour of a Murano glass factory because we did not want a high pressure sales job. We were pleasantly surprised with a highly informative and friendly tour by our knowledgeable guide Simone. After our tour we did ultimately purchase a few items with no pressure at all. Even got a complimentary ride back... More

We visited this place on our "private boat trip of the canals, lagoon and islands". We were looking forward to this part of our trip as we would have liked to have purchased a piece of Murano glassware for our home in Melbourne. The glass demonstration at the glass factory was fantastic & stunning, and the work / time /... More

The items displayed here are presented in a museum style. Although friendly, the staff did not seem to attempt any high pressure techniques.

Our family took a water taxi over to Murano for a glass blowing demonstration. Our hotel set it up and we ended up here. We were welcomed and throughout the entire demonstration and visit we didn't feel any high pressure sales pitch (we had been warned this could happen when visiting glass factories.) We have a lot of respect for... More

This was not the first time that we have seen glass blowers in action but we never seem to become jaded at the sight of master craftsmen at work. On this occasion, we saw two craftsmen in action producing an individual vase – it would have been nice to see two or three pieces being made. We were then hurried... More

A good experience to watch the glass maker create a vase. Demonstrations only take place in the mornings. We booked an organised trip from the ship but you could do the trip yourself using the water bus to Murano.

The glass factory is run by glass blowing Masters and Apprentice Masters, my wife and I witness a lovely demonstration of the creation of glass art works, and then toured both the street shop and private works available on the 2nd floor by invitation only where the pieces are all one of a kind, signed and engraved, and starting at... After meeting some locals in Murano and having a great time talking about glass they suggested we go to this gallary. We went on Saturday which is not normal on the island and we were immediately greated with kindness. We were able to see a glass demonstration and then were taken upstairs to the gallery where we were able to... More

I guess they don't serve Asian because they just walk away the moment they meet us and left no one in the shop.
