Our trip with Julian and Katie was nothing short of outstanding! A week of fun, laughter and adventure!

Katie was so organized and helpful through her communication via WhatsApp before our trip and on the ground too! She checked in everyday and it felt like we were part of the B and P Patagonia family!

Julian, our guide, was amazing - charming, energetic, professional and very knowledgeable! He expertly guided us on our bikes, taking us on routes we would never have found ourselves. His kayaking and paddling skills are renowned and we really enjoyed our rafting experience! The hike he chose for us afforded us spectacular views of the valley and mountains around El Bolson! Our stay at La Confluencia was magical and the drive to get there will remain as one of my highlights of the trip. Thank goodness for the Toyota Hilux and Julian's expert driving skills!

Through Bike and Paddle Patagonia we continued our trip with Frontera Sur and kayaked in the pristine National Park Los Alerces. Our guide, Martin, was the perfect host. Charming, knowledgeable and so passionate about this beautiful and protected part of the world. Our final stop was the Mendoza region and thanks to Katie we were introduced to Eugenia who made that portion of our trip very special as well! In addition to wine touring we had an overnight stay at an Estancia that was another highlight of the trip!

Thanks to Bike and Paddle Patagonia! Our time in Argentina felt very special and authentic. Thanks to all of you for sharing your time with us so graciously. We would recommend all of you to any of our friends and already have! Muchas gracias a todos!

Bike and Paddle Patagonia is by far the finest adventure travel company I have ever used. The owners, Julian and Katie Tisato, customized an EPIC three week expedition for our foursome. We traveled by truck from Bariloche south through Patagonia in both Argentina and Chile ending in El Calafate. Every day was an adventure with highlights that included six days of whitewater on the Futaleufu River, more whitewater on the Manso and Rio Azul Rivers, sea kayaking, extreme hiking, sightseeing, delicious meals, amazing lodging and, most importantly, loads of laughter. Adventure travel is rarely perfect, but this trip was sheer PERFECTION!!

What an amazing experience I had in El Bolson. From white water rafting to mountain biking to breathtaking hikes, this had it all. Our group had an absolute blast and a big part of it was because of the fun and energy that all the Paddle Patagonia guides had. A special thanks to Julian and Mierco for being the absolute best :)

Paddle Patagonia worked with us to develop a perfect itinerary for our Patagonia and South American adventure. My husband and I paddle whitewater at different skill levels. They put together a 6-day river adventure that was exciting for us both. For 6 days we paddled exciting rivers in Argentina and Chile, including the Manso and Futaleufu. Each night we enjoyed great local food and relaxed at lodges with friends hosts and surrounded by the gorgeous snow-capped Andes mountains. Our trip was simultaneously relaxing and exhilarating.

We were on a month long family camping trip from San Martin de Los Andes to El Calafate down the Ruta 40. I knew I wanted to paddle but could not bring my kayak (I got to paddle my inflatable SUP instead though!). After kayaking for a good few years I have always had shall we say a less than optimal roll. While in El Bolson I came across Paddle Patagonia and emailed them about some rolling instruction. Katie got back to me straight away. A few hours of rolling instruction was not something they usually offer but they were more than happy to help me out. I was stoked. Myself, my partner and our 3 kids met Katie, Julian and their son Teo at Lago Puelo one beautiful afternoon. While the families hung out Julian took me through some instruction. He was super patient with my obvious deficiencies and had an uncanny knack for explaining things. He was easily able to re-adjust explanation points if I wasn't getting it. By the end of a couple of hours I was much more happy and confident with my roll thanks to Julian. I cannot recommend Paddle Patagonia enough. Super friendly and stoked. I just wish I had the opportunity to join them for one of their longer trips. They look great! I hope to get back down to paddle with them some time.

Paddle Patagonia created a bespoke trip for me in February 2014. I was able to blend Kayaking with Mountain biking and was expertly guided in both by Julian and Kelly. My week was planned to perfection and after staying in the beautiful La Confluensia hostel; Julian, Kelly and I embarked on a white water road trip through Agrentina and Chile, culminating in a trip down the mighty Futaleufu river. Both Julian and Kelly were perfect hosts: guides, cooks, instructors, kayakers, bikers and above all friends for the week; after a few days into the road trip it felt like we’d known each other for years. Julian’s impromptu in-car singing is of a very high standard, his Moulin Rouge medley is truly excellent ;-)
Julian assessed my paddling and providing excellent coaching and guidance to improve my technique and correct old habits to enable me to tackle the Futa on the last day. Julian’s kayaking technique is exceptional and i couldn’t have asked for a more competent and enthusiastic guide.
I would highly recommend anyone who wishes to kayak in Patagonia to contact Paddle Patagonia.

We joined Paddle Patagonia in December 2013 hoping for a great paddling adventure and came back with a trip of a lifetime!

We enjoyed the variety of the paddling. Starting with an easier river was good to get familiar with our canoe and for Julian to evaluate the skill level of the group. It would be really difficult to choose a favorite river, each one had its own charm: scenery, level of difficulty or intensity... We liked them all! But If we had to pick one river it would be Rio Azul in Chile, both technical and picturesque.

On top of great paddling, we couldn’t wish for better accommodations. La Confluencia Lodge with its unique setting, delightful food and peaceful environment is worth a trip on its own. We felt that this was a great bonus to our paddling trip. Special attention to our friends diet was really appreciated.

Julian and his crew demonstrated great professionalism, always making sure that everybody was safe and having a good time. The good spirit and energy of the guides was contagious.

Experiencing the local culture made this trip even more special, El Bolson feria artesanal, the asados...

Paddle Patagonia, thank you again for a wonderful trip... you have an amazing thing going. The pisco sour at the bottom of Rio Futaleufu was a classy touch from a classy outfitter!

For someone who had only just taken her first few paddle strokes in the quiet waters of Copenhagen, ending a holiday in Argentina on a paddling trip with a group of kayakers does not seem like the obvious choice. My boyfriend was joining "Rivers of Patagonia ll-lll, and as I didn't have the paddling skills to come on the trip I signed up for the "non paddlers option".... Prior to our departure to Argentina everything was carefully planned not least thanks to Katie, who helped us out with any queries and questions. Upon arrival at La Confluencia I immediately loved it and the people there. -Very fortunate seeing that I (we) were spending a full week with the people :-) Although I was signed up for "non paddlers option" I came along the kayakers on 3 of the days in a ducky (inflatable kayak) on the easy rivers. I was rather nervous (putting it mildly) on my first day of paddling. After careful instructions, in the river I went. Soon I would find myself having so much fun and at the same time knowing I was in the best and safest hands! During the other days of the week I went on guided hikes in the beautiful surroundings of the rivers. On one of the days I was meant to go mountain biking, but unfortunately due to too much rain the trip had to be changed, as the tracks would not have been safe for me to ride. An alternative plan was made and laid out for me.They had expected the unexpected. Overall the trip had been carefully planed and carried through "to perfection". The combination of the different lodgings was fantastic as each place had its own special mark. On top of it all, all the guides were amazing. First of all super good and professional at what they were doing, but secondly really cool and friendly people and the cause of MUCH laughter. Icing on the cake was the fact that the other paddlers turned out to be really cool too.
Not even in my wildest dreams had I dared to hope for the amazing experience this trip turned out to be. Had I the opportunity to go again, I would go in a flash! Thank you Katie & Julian for organizing a FANTASTIC trip and thank you Fidel and Ezequiel for being such cool guides.

I did four days of kayaking with english/spanish speaking guide Fidel on the Futaleufu river. We started on easier sections and progressed to harder rapids as I got more comfortable on the water. Thanks Fidel. I loved paddling the Futa - definitely keen to come back.

What an amazing adventure and cultural experience. Julian and Katie did an incredible job planning our trip according to our wants and needs. We mountain biked, hiked, fly fished, and river rafted.
Julian knows this part of the country inside and out. We felt completely comfortable and safe the entire time. Because of his relationships with the locals I felt I received a "true" cultural experience. It was a real treasure to meet and socialize with the people of El Bolson.
Every destination was unique and exciting. The food was incredible and so fresh. Julian also carved out some time to enjoy the local market to purchase one of a kind handmade goodies. The people of Argentina are very kind and we felt lucky to spend a week with them.
Hands down I would recommend this trip and with this company to anyone. I can't wait to start planning our next trip with Julian and Katie, but this time we are taking our teenagers!
