This beach is 3 miles (5 kms) long. It's golden sands gently slope to the sea, which frequently has great surfing conditions, both for board or -- my chosen hobby when a youth -- bodysurfing. Great flat seafront, the promenade is geared up for walking, running and cycling with lane dividers. Great views too across to Swansea and Mumbles. A good selection of cafes,ice cream parlours and a fish and chip shop. Lived in Sandfilds all my life and I say it's a lovely beach, plenty to do as they keep adding to it so it's well worth taking the children there summer time it's very busy and there's plenty to do

I visit this beach front regularly and its great in all seasons. There's a good distance to walk either along the sand or promenade and if you fancy a shorter walk that's also possible. There's an ice cream parlour and restaurant and another larger restaurant were the food and service is great in both. The toilet facilities at the beach... More

beautiful clean sands , some of the best sunsets in wales, summer,or winter time.visit franco chip shop , on the front.( sit in, or take away.) Love the beaches around this area, sandy and clean. Views are hindered a little by Port Tablot Steelworks but at night the steelworks do look nice.

Sunday saw the local charity NSA Afan and the Coastal Community Team organise a competition - Its a knockout - the event was a tremendous sucess - plenty of laughs and strange activities - well done to all who signed up
