We were very unlucky with the weather. It was raining the whole time so we didn't see anything when we got to the summit. Apparently the view is really nice, you'll be able to see the White Island from afar. You can also swim in the crater lake and have lunch there. We hiked a total of 7 hours (up... More

I was fascinated, amazed and overwhelmed not just by it's one of a kind view but also with it's trail. I titled it as "revenge" not in a negative impact, I just want to emphasize that in order to see and explore the beauty above this mountain, you'll have to taste it's revenge. Not easy. Out of all mountains I... More

I hired a guide, since I was a solo traveler. This hike was: 9km, highest point 1100m, slippery boulders, very steep ascend. This is not a hike to be done by beginners, and it is very challenging. The total time for us was about 6 hours, including breaks. We came across a huge bee hive, and took a different route... More

ask a local guide to bring you to the top, i hired one for 1k, there's a fix rate on local guides imposed by the department of environment and natural resources, the mountain is under its care and not the local municipality or province. tried to run the route going up, but due to lack of training i was out... The alpine valley between the volcanoes offers a cool mountain climate just minutes by motorbike from the tropical torpor of the coast.

If you are interested in science and scenery, this is a good place to visit. It is interesting to learn about earthquakes and its impact in the island.

By far, that was one of the best hikes we did in Philippines. It is very physically demanding but doable. It took as 6,5h round trip but we had very fast pace. Guide cost around 1200 for pack of 2. Couple of advices though if you want to make it more enjoyable: 1. Check weather the day before. It rained... More

We climbed with our dog Batman. We started near Arden hot spring and climb the pretty steep way up. When hitting half-way I was pretty confident we could make it but realising that the rest was really steep and you have to pull yourself up on rocks and holding on to plants not to fall backwards. The last 45 minutes... More
