Amazing historical site with a very interesting story. From the middle ages through WWII, this site has seen an amazing amount of events. A must for a visit off-the-beaten-path.

The setting of this chateau/fort dominating access routes from France to Switzerland, and high on a cliff is superb. The chateau has an interesting history, but what made the visit outstanding was the quality narration and story-telling of our guide. While the tour was in...More

Stopped here on a drive from Beaune to Lucerne - about midway through the trip. Pretty facade and you get a guided tour (albeit in French, so make sure to grab the paper guide at the entrance station). Tour takes about 1.25-1.5 hours, but was...More

Our guided tour was informative and interesting......if you like chateaux etc, you will love it. The service in the coffee shop was a bit "off" though! The proprietor seemed disinterested and was rather rude!

This chateau has a commanding position, so you can't but be amazed at how it was built. Take a tour with a guide if you can. The many rooms and great restoration make it a worthwhile trip.
