We wanted to check out the beaches in Anguilla on a day trip from Grand Case, St. Martin where we had a weekly rental. It took 10 minutes to get to the Gare Maritime in Marigot where there was parking right in front. The departure tax was $5US or EU3 cash only so if you have cash euros ots a... More

Perfect beach, no one there. White sand stretching end to end. Two great lunch spots at bottom of hill. Waves can get growly but then you just sit and watch. Can't wait to return.

If so then this is the beach for you. High waves and surf at times a little rough. Only part of the beach has a gentle slope for walking. Right at the entrance there are beach vendors and restaurants/bars which brings a lot of day visitors over from St Martin. IMO not the best beach on Anguilla.......but it depends on... More

A vista like you have never seen. Crashing waves and whitecaps in the distance and turquoise waters up close. White sand, beers for sale. The only thing that could make it better is the beach chairs for rent - ratty, but they may add to the charm.

As you come in to shoal bay you will see a car park on your left ignore it and turn right follow the road to leoniadas it's very relaxed beach shack with an outdoor spa next to it. The beach here is lovely and much quieter than the central part if the beach.

We were in Shoal Bay as part of a day trip to Anguilla. The beach was beautiful. The water was a bit choppy on the day we were there. There was not good snorkeling on the day of our visit, but we enjoyed the water and sand nonetheless.

The local map that came with our rental car indicated that shoal was a good snorkel spot, but the waves were even too aggressive to body board today. The hotel at the far end had a red flag out with no one in the water. We were in front of ernies and spent time in the water (which was amazingly... More

Not crowded, soft sandy beaches with patches of crunched up shells. Restaurants and hotels offer chairs and umbrellas with a charge but worth it to take it all in.

Oh my gosh, this beach was sooo beautiful! I have visited many beaches and this one tops it yet! It was not overcrowded like many beaches on St Martin and we loved that! We took a day trip from St Martin on the ferry and ended up staying at Shoal Bay the whole day! Now I wish we stayed overnight... More
