I'm still bothered by our visit to this monastery. As the positive other reviews you will see indicate, it is indeed a wonderful site. The monastery, likely because it is still a functioning monastery, is beautifully maintained, and the older sections have been beautifully restored....More

The monastery was open later than we expected and it was lovely. Not crowded, a bit cooler and the service started at 7.00pm so we were able to sit in and listen. The cloisters were also a highlight

One of those not so well known places but worth the trip! Besides being in one of the nicest routes to travel, the monastery is full of history & mysticism. Beautiful!

The monastery is in a beautiful setting in the hills. Well worth a detour from Tarragona or Barcelona. You are free to tour the interior of the monastery but the visit to the church is timed with a guide. Amazing and unique almost hanging crypts...More

This is a monastery in the peaceful town of Poblet, not too far from Tarragona. It is still active and you may see the occasional Cistercian monk walking around. You enter via a big open courtyard, and once inside you will find big halls, ornate...More

This is one of the iconic sites in Catalonia to visit. It is set in a beautiful area, surrounded by vineyards. The monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and well worth a visit.
