Weather an obvious plus, but the gardens are impressive, varied areas and inspired plantings give a series of vistas that encourage photography and might take 3 other large garden visits to equal. Wood sculptures a plus. Tea/Coffee & cakes in delightful Orangery. Children seemed to...More

Visited Highnam Court to support the open day for the NSPCC. The house remains private but we spent an enjoyable couple of hours exploring the extensive gardens which have been sensitively restored. It must be one of Gloucestershire's treasures.

Superb gardens with many stunning wood carvings. Walking around the lakes is so peaceful. Look out for open events like the really good charity Rare Plant Fair.

I doubt it. They only open a few times a year for charity events, mainly at weekends - it's worth doing searches online every few weeks to see if there's an open day soon. It's a beautiful garden, ideal for walkers and... More
