Peaceful place

Came here on a boat trip. Lovely, peaceful broad with plenty of wildlife, we saw birds and red deer. Plenty of free mooring. It's Norfolk, what's not to like?

We recently moved to this area, and luckily for us Ranworth Broad is only a few minutes drive away. Apart from the views of the Broad, there is car parking outside of the shop/tearooms, and overspill parking just a few yards further along the lane, though only open in season. Toilets appear to only be open at weekends and daily... More

Lovely church view from the church tower was amazing, educational for children lots to see and do. Local pubs - Boat hire - Ferry trip also walk along the boardwalks to the broads and spot some beautiful wildlife.

This is one of my favourite broads, returned this year after a gap of over twenty years and it still meets my expectations. Did the climb up the Church Tower again, well worth it!

The reserve is well maintained with good footpath. It was off season, so the floating building was closed.

We walked from the staithe and the Norfolk Wildlife Trust visitor centre is reached on a boardwalk which goes over the fen. The centre actually floats on the broad and has lots of places to view from and there are binoculars that you can borrow. One of the volunteers made us very welcome and explained about the Trust and what... More

Ranworth Broad is administered by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust and entry is free although I'm sure that a donation to help offset their costs is always welcome. The Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre floats on water and is situated at the end of a very good and safe boardwalk. The walk through ferns and the broad margins is lovely and worth... More

We spent a day in this area while visiting the region. In the morning we had a boat trip on the river. The staff were very helpful as we had gone to the wrong place for the boat but they came to collect us. We were the only party on the trip so got a personal commentary from our knowledgeable... Lovely little village on River Bure ,well served by village shop, coffee shop and local pub. Nice setting for a walk followed by refreshments over looking the Broads.
