Went passed yesterday made a mental note to go back today and it was well worth the visit. It was good that there was a cafe before you entered and even in the off season there was somewhere to get refreshments inside. Went into the gardens and you can see spring is coming with the lovely meadow of daffodils and... More

We drove here from Bournemouth today having checked the opening times on the website. When we arrived there was a 'closed' sign outside but some cars in the car park and gates open so we went in. The menu board was outside the cafe and there were people inside however we couldn't see any sign of food. When a member... More

Hi there, Thank you for getting in touch about this. We are very sorry to hear that you traveled some distance to see us only to find us closed. All our literature and website has stated since the middle of last year that we re-opened on the 20th March so I'm sorry that you were mis-informed. I have thoroughly checked... More

We have been to Exbury Gardens a few times and we are always amazed at the vibrant colours from so many plants. They do a display every year of either plants from around the world or a painting gallery, where you can buy the ones you like. Every time you go there, there is always something new to see and... Well kept gardens with amazing Autumn colours. The garden and the different routes were well signposted. We had more difficulties negotiating the exit however! Highly recommended.

This is a review of the Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway "Christmas Postal Express" in December 2016. This is not a review for Exbury Gardens itself, which we know through past experience can be very nice at the time of year when all their rhododendrons are out. We did however feel thoroughly ripped off by their much advertised locally 'Christmas... More

10 in our party & all enjoyed the day. Plenty of parking & stewardship / safety awareness on arrival albeit a long walk for families Plenty of varied stalls from many local / artisan craft suppliers presenting lots of gift ideas Hot food & drink available all over the site with Mr Eddies cafe being the on site eatery (... We come to the gardens every year in either the spring or Autumn for the lovely woodland displays of colours. The train ride is quite quirky and a must. The trail maps are easy to follow and every thing is well signed. They do offer buggy rides for those who don't fancy the 3 or 4 hours it takes to... More

Wonderful for autumn colours but I was worried that my sister with limited mobility would only be able to enjoy a little of it. No problem! The steam train was packed with Halloween children but for under a fiver, we were taken round to every part of the huge estate in Jack's electric buggy Not only did we enjoy some... More
