Gaya pond daan is a ritual performed by Hindus to free the spirits of the deceased ones, this liberating them from the bondage of the materialistic world. To manage the millions of devotees who want to perform Pond Daan, platforms are built on the river side near this place.

Hi, Yesterday I visited this place for pind dhan. This pind dhan is mainly done in falgu river bed, Vishnu pad and old banyan tree. If you read the story behind the pind dhan, you will understand the necessity of it. Although there are many issues like cleanliness, beggers, etc but when you focus on the holiness of this temple... Gaya is famous for cheat and fake pundits so even before reaching there I contacted Bhanu Kumar Shastri, he arranged everything for the Pind Daan and as already mentioned in tripadvisor he never demanded any money and left it own us to pay any amount we feel.
