We stopped here on our way from Sydney to Katoomba. What stunning views there were and the gardens were lovely. As first timers to the area we were well impressed with the views - just a taste of things to come. We ate lunch in the restaurant and we shared a hot pie - just the right size and very... More

This is a free botanical gardens located in the Blue Mountains. It is a good drive (about 40 km) from Blackheath. You can pick up a map of the gardens at the information area. These gardens have an emphasis on cool climate plants from different parts of the world. The layout of the gardens is very interesting and consists of... More

This place is insanely beautiful, take-your-breath away beautiful. It is obvious the park rangers out a lot of hard work into keeping it looking like this. Well worth a day's visit. There is a cabin you can book ahead of time if you wish to stay overnight. Definitely put this on your to-visit list if you visit the blue mountains.

Visited the gardens before and wanted to see it in spring (late spring now). The gardens are nice and plenty of flowers out in bloom. Had morning tea at the restaurant and it left a bit to be desired. We had the blueberry scones as they were the only option we had!! They were nice but we had to wait... More

We visited as a day out and found the gardens beautiful. The walkways are easily accessible and the restaurant, although a little expensive was good. The waitress was cheerful and very helpful. There is seating on a veranda with a fantastic view. Would definitely recommend.

The gardens are stunning and a credit to the team that tend them. Amazingly entry is free! The variety of plants and trees are a delight to see and, whilst there are slopes, the pathways are easy - if you are ok with hot sunshine. We lunched at the restaurant and enjoyed their unusual home cooked dishes and friendly service.... More

Scenic drive from Sydney to the gardens. Scenic views and walking trails. Interesting garden shuttle tour three times a day . Well maintained gardens and photographic panorama of the mountains and green slopes. Restaurant with superb views and a adequate menu. Invigorating atmosphere ! Can be windy !

Visited on a rainy day with the kids (3 & 1). They absolutely loved it as there are so many different flowers to look at, it keeps them fully entertained all morning. We also then hit the attached cafe/restaurant which was really great food although a little on the pricey side.

I came up on the last day of the school holidays in September and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and informative customer service. The person at the front desk was very helpful and invited me along to do the garden shuttle to find out more about the garden (I must admit I was asking a billion questions!) I was... More
