The trail is not as difficult as it looks and is well worth it. You will climb up to about 1250 meters in altitude from Tiradentes 950 meters. You are not allowed to do this hike without a guide probably because the trail is not well marked and because Tiradentes needs tourist for its economy! Stunning views and a nice... More

Really beautiful but only for admiring at distance. There are guided adventures but it's only for experts.

Go with a guid, if you speak Portuguese, since there are many stories to tell of how slaves built the path (in part covered by large rock slabs) and how food was grown near the mountain to feed the population of the immensely (gold) rich town. And how silver cost 3x more than gold. The views are fantastic! The forest... More

This ridge dominates the pretty and historic town of Tiradentes so it is difficult to miss. Whatever the weather - and we saw it in rain, mist, bright sin and at sunset - it is beautiful.
