Compare to other museums in big cities, Tarsus museum only has not much collection. We went to the museum, greeted by the officer and he brought the key to open the museum because there was no visitors. Preserved collection although we could see a beautiful sarcophagus on the left side of the museum. 20 minute visit will be sufficient.

The museum has pretty rich pieces of ancient times you feel yourself in the history at every step you have.I admired Roman period of ancient times.

It is a nice, small and modern museum with findings from one of world's most important cities, 2000 year ago. Important: This museum is not in Mersin City, it is in Tarsus which is at 30 kms east of Mersin City.
