The track is probably the most famous in the world, so if you like cars, you definitely must go there at least once in your life. If you are planing to try the track by yourself, you have different possibilities, some people drive their own cars there, that's a good experience but it has a huge risk since your insurance... Eat a light meal before the ring taxi or you'll be seeing it again. This is a rocket ship ride that rips you through the longest race track in the world at insane speeds. Hold on tight with both hands.

Went in my Continental Supersports to attempt the ring. Ended up visiting the museum and the shop as the circuit was closed on 2 consecutive days due to foggy conditions.. went there on our way to Austria

We spent most of our time in the city center. People were very welcoming. Visited several of the Christmas Markets. Ate at several traditional restaurants and visited the Castle. All fantastic!!

I can highly recommend driving the Nuerburgring! There are several quality car rental places where you can rent a motor vehicle, (prices depend on the vehicle rented). I would HIGHLY recommend that you hire an instructor because this is an unforgiving track with hairpin/blind turns with traffic racing behind you with only inches to spare, (and the fact that insurance... You have to go to the 'ring. I would suggest that anyone with red blood running through their veins will enjoy this attraction, though it can get very busy on open track evenings and days. The weather can be difficult too, though it was glorious when we were there. Aside from the track though, the scenery is wonderful.

This was the number one item on my bucket list and it did not disappoint. I went in a Diesel Mercedes rental car that was not fast and still very much loved it.

As a former F1 circuit, the Nordschleife is a demanding circuit that's accessible as a toll road. It's possible to drive it with your own car, but if you want to add to the fun big time, rent a race car locally. You do yourself a favour if you use a racing game on a console or computer to learn... More

If you love Motorsports there is no other place on earth. You should visit at least once in your life. The history behind this place is so great that you have to read and read to start to understand. Once in a lifetime experience.
