Gentle stroll

Great walk, easy going for little legs. Our 4 and 7 year olds managed this without any difficulty. Great views from the top om a clear day.

Wellies needed towards the top
Aug. 2020
Lovely views from this circular walk leading to this location with a number of picnic tables. The underfoot conditions at the top is very wet and wellies are required - the path leading up is fine though.

Lovely Walk and stunning views!
Jan. 2020
We did this walk around 2 weeks ago and didn't realise it was on TripAdvisor! We have probably done this walk around 3/4 times and it's a walk we never get tired of, as the scenery changes all the time; the ferry crossing from Oban to the isle of Mull and back, the trees. This walk is quite steep at the start and in some more places further on. There is a wide path for people to get past and at the top of each steep hill there are picnic tables that are looking onto the sea and beyond! It is definitely a good walk to take the dogs out as when they get home they will be straight to sleep!!! It is definitely a great walk that is worth 5 stars.

Walks to suit the more able-bodied but can be shortened to include children. Amazing views depending on the weather. If it's dreich you'll not see much apart from your own feet. Lots of benches to rest on route and have a picnic and enjoy the views on bonnie clear days.

Good views for a small hill
Jun. 2018 • Couples
This is a straightforward short hike from the Forestry Commission carpark in the centre of Benderloch, mostly through felled plantation (which will look better in years to come) and mostly (around 80%) on a very well-made gravel path. This is quite steep in places, about as steep as you can get for an un-stepped path, but has good grip. The final section may be boggy after a wet spell but in dry conditions there is no problem and trainers rather than boots would be perfectly good footwear. We took just over 2 hours for the round trip.

The view is your reward
Feb. 2018 • Family
There is a choice of low level or a higher level walks. The Forest Enterprise North Argyll guide is a must for the area. We did the higher/summit walk which is a wee bit steep in parts but the way is well marked and a good foot path through the wood with the final stage over a boggy but easily negotiated path. The views from the summit are breathtaking and really well worth the effort. The OS shows height 308 metres. There are several picnic tables en route at the various view points. Enjoy.
