Don’t get discouraged by lack of a formal ticket office and feeling like you are just walking into someone’s house without invitation. The owner will find you and he is very friendly! We had a nice time in this small museum and left with some beautiful pottery at very affordable price. No two pieces are alike, there is so much to choose from and if you prearrange, you can make a piece or two by yourself. I wish we thought about it earlier. Necel Museum is a great place to visit whether it is a group of friends, couples or family with children. This is what Americans call family owned and operated business, small and very personable. Have fun!!

It was a bit shocking at first. No welcome, no idea what is going on. Sort of a see-it-yourself museum.

After what seemed like some negotiations, my son was allowed to make a ceramic cup on the pottery wheel. He loved it; his clothes were ruined; it was great. A few weeks later, we received his cup in the mail, glazed and painted Kaszubian blues.

Family potters of more than 6 generations continue their traditional designs and methods. Given a very personal explanation of each process as handed down over the centuries.

We were made welcome by the 10th generation potter who took time to show us around and explain his craft and technique in detail. Recomend highly for insight into Kashubian tradition and design. The unique method of applying glaze with a goose quill instead of brush gives the finished pot a distinct look. We bought two small candle holders, easy enough to carry.
If you are interested in ceramics or anything Kashubian I highly recommend.

Amazing place, full of handmade little miracles. Very little factory of ceramic, every little thing is making by hands of 3 people working there all days. Very nice man who showed and explained his work. Little shop to buy an unique gift.
