Mactaquac is really in good shape, this year. The greens are really good and fun to play on. For all the golfers that are visiting the region I strongly suggest that you take a turn and include Mactaquac in your golf courses plays. The fact that it is in a provincial park, gets you the chance to see some wildlife that I find very amusing.

The best place in the world to forget your troubles and golf the way it should be.! The rough is user friendly...wildlife abounds..forget the "Rules"..and enjoy yourself.! ...I can remember when greens were made of sand and cotton seed hulls..!! ...mother nature gave us what we have have..so enjoy it..!!... ....chill-out and be glad that you are able to get out and enjoy a great course while you are still on the right side of the grass... ...I'd rather be no-where but at the 'Quac" with golfing 'Buddies' in the summer!!! ..'Bin der' since '69 when the course opened....

Played in August with one temp green, one green 50% roped off and at least ten other greens with significant damage. Putting was an adventure as time and again the ball would bounce off some defect in the green, sadly it plays like an old run down mini putt course. Great layout, pretty scenery, friendly staff and challenging course. Desperately needs work. To be fair 2019 was a bad year for courses in NB due to a cold/wet spring but it's August and you still don't have half your greens ready to play? So sad it was once a great course.

Don't know what happened to this course but it's been in terrible shape for a couple of years. Paid $57 including cart for something that should have been half the price including cart.

Made arrangements well in advance to play here on our golf east, road trip. I was told that we would be behind a small group when I booked. We arrived early hoping to get out but were told that a small group would be ahead and that we'd have to wait for them to start. A group of 6 or 8 foursome's tee'd off while we waited. We were joined by another couple. The first 9 holes were pleasant, nicely designed open course with good tee's and greens. The fairways were rough but we understand that they did not have a very rainy summer. Pace of play however was an issue. We did have to wait on several holes on the front however everything was fine until we hit the 12th hole. There we found 3 groups ahead of us 2 on the tee, drinking and the other's out on the fairway. It was obvious that all the stops by the cart lady on the front nine were having an effect! Another two groups came up behind us while we waited. I called the pro shop to complain as did the others. We waited and waited for these groups and then decided to call it quits and left for the club house. The young lady there was very professional and pleasant and when I asked for some kind of compensation arranged for a discount at our next golf stop which apparently has taken over management of this course. Once again a group of 6-8 ruin an experience for others. They don't get punished and we are inconvenienced!!! Not sure I'll be back.... You may also want to check your arrangements.
